I gave my life to Christ in 1991 as a single woman in Nigeria. After this, I began working in a ministry there then I got married after one year. When I moved to Boston, I started a ministry with my late husband, and that ministry grew rapidly. It was amazing that God used us and our friends to bring many souls to Him. 

 

In 1999, we moved down to Texas and we were serving in a ministry here. We threw ourselves completely into ministry, using every bit of time we had to serve the Lord. We wanted to contribute to the building of the Kingdom of God. In 2005, I lost my husband, and I told the Lord that I would not be going back to ministry  - I simply couldn't do it anymore. Even with that, the Lord kept saying that I needed to go back into ministry, but I didn't know how I could do it with three young children and no husband. How do you start a ministry as a widow? 

 

After we observed my late husband's one year memorial,  the second year came around and things were different. The Lord instructed me that I had to start Faith and Life Family Church immediately, and when God speaks like that, we move. We started Faith and Life Family Church in my living room, the exact same way we started the ministry in Boston in our former living room. Before we knew it, we grew in members and moved to having our Sunday service at nearby hotels, and from there we began renting different locations. All these years, the Lord has been so faithful because we now own our own building in Grand Prairie. 

 

My goal is to help those that are hurting. In the body of Christ, we have many souls that are hurting.  Whether they are widows, victims of abuse, experiencing homelessness, whatever it is. I know what it means to hurt. God has sustained me and continues to help me till this day. I’m here to serve him, and show others the word of God. We all need the word of God daily to be able to stand firm in those dark days. Faith and Life Family Church exists to show the love of Christ to others, and continue building His Kingdom.
